About Me
Hello! I’m Christopher de Laat,
I am the Head Coach and Director of Golf here at Mayfield. My responsibility is to make sure that your kids’ smile, laugh and become lifelong golfers. I want to share my passion for this game and the lessons I have learned from Canada’s Golf Royalty. Golf is a fabulous game, and if you are lucky, you can enjoy it with your entire family.
My Approach
Golf is much more than a game of mechanics. Too often, Traditional Golf Programs only focus on the swing, and neglect to stress the importance of functional motor skills, on-course play, and proper behaviour.
As a golf course owner and Golf Professional, my goal is to coach beyond the “fundamental skills of golf.” I believe that it is my professional responsibility to help create “Good Golf Citizens.”
